Assistant Manager in the ibis Marseille Euro méditerranée

After finishing my tourism and hotel studies, I wanted to go into a sales career. I lived in the United Kingdom for five years and worked in sales at the Novotel in Leeds and the Mercure in Sheffield. In June 2008, I arrived at the Pullman Palm Beach in Marseille as a sales representative, and the following year, I expressed a desire to advance towards an assistant managerial position.

I had an interview with our regional employment representative. She explained how the ibis assistant manager program works and the success it has. I liked the idea right away and I applied.

As I was discovering ibis, I began with a worker training course to understand the day-to-day life of the teams in an ibis hotel. I then began the actual training program, which focus on guest orientation, on-site management, and having responsibility for a profit center.

Currently, I am helping the assistant manager of the ibis Marseille Euroméditerranée, who is little by little teaching me all of the responsibilities linked to the job.

It is very gratifying to be able to advance in the direction you choose in a large group. This program gave me confidence in myself. There are good people around me, I fell supported by real professionals, and I am learning a lot about team management.
